I am a Principal Advisor for Security and Compliance at EMC. I work with CIOs, IT leaders, and business leaders by providing advisory services for Information Security, Cyber Security and Compliance Strategies.
I focus on the following areas:
• Reducing corporate exposure to information risk
• Effective Information Security and Compliance programs to effectively manage enterprise risk
• Cyber Security Strategies
• Developing and implementing strategies to govern and protect highly sensitive Information Assets
• Strategies for Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) and Advanced Security Operations
• Strategies and programs for aligning and integrating security technologies
Prior to EMC, I worked at Eli Lilly & Company, a $20 billion international leader in the pharmaceutical industry. I served in a number of different IT and business leadership roles. These roles spanned Enterprise Information Security, Security Compliance, Corporate Compliance, HR, Systems and Operations. In my last role as Director of Enterprise Information Security and Compliance, I drove the development and implementation of several best-in-class programs to include Privacy Compliance and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Prior to Eli Lilly, I served as a U.S. Army Officer in the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). While in the Army, I led and provided HR management services to support wartime readiness operations of the 20,000-member 101st Airborne Division.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Ball State University and hold a number of business and security certifications.
